This is a short yet well-planned safari that introduces you to Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is famous for its herds of elephants that graze against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro and you also get breathtaking views of Africa’s highest mountain. You can look forward to an up-close encounter with African elephants among other animals.

You will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel or at the airport and depart for Amboseli at 7:00 am. Drive through the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway arriving on time for lunch at the Kibo Safari Camp. Relax in the camp getting ready for the afternoon game drive starting from 3:00 pm. Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game – elephants, lions, and cheetahs are the main attractions – and for its great scenic beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed – Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava-strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored.

Leave the camp after breakfast with packed picnic lunch to be served in the park. Enjoy a full day game drive where you will enjoy seeing animals against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain. You will be amazed by the number of elephants that are residents here as well as the number of bird species among them migratory birds. 4 of the big five are also residents here so you can look forward to a fun-filled day. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Leave Amboseli National Park after breakfast and later proceed to Nairobi where you will be dropped at the airport to catch your home flight bringing to an end what we believe is your lifetime safari.
